Nightshelter for the Homeless

The Year 9 Food Preparation and Nutrition students have been cooking for the homeless over the last 5 weeks. We have made different meals each week including chilli and stuffed cabbage (Gołąbki), Victoria sponge cake, fish and chips with salad, beef stew and vegetarian casserole and lasagne with garlic bread.

The first week, I went to the church to help serve, along with Scott Davey and Mrs Patel. We were able to chat with the guests and make sandwiches for their lunch the next day.

All of the students have cooked very well, with great enthusiasm and helped each other in preparing all the hearty food, which the homeless guests were so grateful for.
